[virtual] cake and ice cream day

This is how the Media and Communications team eats. hahaha
My entire month of May has been filled with tight deadlines, travels, coordination, and communications as I have had been catching up with work lately.

I have had been on the road, by air, land, and water,  almost everyday. And yesterday was just like an ordinary day of the month,  the road literally consumed me, so much of my time.

Yesterday,  I woke up early, with our communications OJT Mai, to catch up the early morning ferry trip to Bohol  to go back to Cebu in the afternoon. It's my normal  activity though but yesterday was just an extra special day.  Thanks to my friends and family who  made it special by joining me with my thanksgiving day, my birthday.

My family and friends had celebrated my birthday with a cake or ice cream, but too bad I was not there or spend so much time to enjoy the celebration.

I had my rush-share of celebration in Bohol with my workmates. My Bohol-based workmate Kuya Bondics, bought an ice cream for me and for everyone. Sadly, I was not able to enjoy the ice cream and fellowship as I was catching up the ferry boat going back to Cebu.

And when I arrived Cebu, my Cebu-based workmate Tita Luciss, welcomed me with an ice cream. And for the 2nd time, I was not able to enjoy and savor it as I was rushing to drop my Auntie to the port.

The cake that the Media and COmmunications team bought

And here are my fellas, meet the media and communications team. They are the proxy celebrant while I was on the road . Thank you, friends.

And when I opened facebook, I was surprised and overwhelmed to see photos of my  Manila- based media and communications workmates enjoying the cake, they said it's for my birthday 'daw'. I'm not really sure though if they really bought it for me..hahaha

Then evening came. My family from Cagayan de Oro called with their sweet greetings. My little brother was teasing me on the other line, convincing me to open my mouth as he is about to feed me the ube-flavor ice cream.

Yesterday, was a very tiring day that I didn't even manage to have my dinner but the virtual celebration  done by my loved ones surprised me, it really made my day.

You guys filled my heart with joy and love, never mind my starving stomach.

Thank you to my family and friends for the sweet greetings and sweet celebration, with me enjoying the [virtual] cake and ice cream. You made my Wednesday as I say, 'Hello 26'!
